Anna P. sends a quick report from China on getting on the water and wooden oars:
“The rowing club I spotted is not really a club but a public school who has rowing (and canoeing) on their physical education agenda. I am trying to negotiate a deal to be part of their fun crowd as the only lauwei (foreigner). Their club and the setup might be very primitive (I especially do like the wooden oars) but they are good rowers. - zaijian”
