Although GLRF offers a paid membership option for all of its members, the membership fees, if fully subscribed by the current membership base, would only cover about 5% of the total GLRF costs. Most of what you see as a website visitor or GLRF member, are the website and the GLRF-hosted booths at regattas. Behind the scenes is a full time staff member, ongoing software and website costs, travel expenses, office expenses, clothing gear costs, organization membership fees, booth rental fees, and printing costs.
Donations, product placements, and sponsorships account for the majority of the remaining realized budget, with gifts from individuals comprising a majority of the revenue source. Through the generosity of individuals in our rowing community, GLRF has the ability to develop and sustain a professional and thriving worldwide community organization.
