15 Oct 2008 - Due to overwhelming demand, the organizing committee has sourced enough boats to offer the coxed fours (4+) category in the 1,000m. sprint competition. The 4+ boats will replace the inrigger 4+ originally planned for the event in the 1,000 m. sprint competition. 

A new category, coxless pairs (2-) will be added to the sprint competition if there is enough interest.

17 Jun 2008 - World Outgames receives multi-million Kroner marketing grant to help promote the event and Denmark abroad.

30 Apr 2008 - Early registration is now open for all sports events, Participants may take advantage of the early registration period between now and 30 Sep 2008. 

10 Apr 2008 - Early registration is expected to open on 20 April 2008.
