Started in 1888, this club has been a resource for rowers in San Diego for over 130 years. The club welcomes all, from beginners to Olympic competitors, with an interest in rowing. It offers regular "learn to row" classes, competitor training for all ages. In addition to hosting the annual "Crew Classic" regatta each March, it hosts Pride Sprints.
At SDRC enjoy year-round on-the-water rowing on beautiful Mission Bay, with lots of birds, seals, and dolphins, as well a great group of friendly rower. The club has a large collection of available boats: singles, doubles, quads, and eights.

The United States' oldest LGBT rowing club (established in 1991). Offers sweep and sculling programs for masters rowers, including learn to row. Also hosts the Stonewall Regatta annually on the first weekend of June.

The club has 12 boats and offers both recreational and competitive rowing programs. They offer two learn to row programs a year, in the spring and the fall.
The club offers Learn To Row classes twice a year. There are several GLRF members who belong, and it is a very welcoming club.
