Developed for experienced rowers, both individuals and clubs squads will have the oppotunity to enhance their rowing technique, and to develop drills, training routines, and goals to take home with them to apply in their spring training. This camp is for serious rowers with at least two full seasons of rowing experience. With that said, rowers with less than 2 seasons, who have a significant amount of water time and race experience, are encouraged to attend. 6 on the the water sessions. All camp participants will row twice a day except Sunday and Monday. Participants will row in both sweep and scull depending on their abilities, their abilities, their boat and style preferences, and the number of participants.Registration Closed -

Rowing is one of the most popular sports in Denmark and we look forward to sharing our proud traditions with all rowers who wish to compete for fun and medals. We will be hosting three events: a 6-lane side-by-side 1000m regatta over two days (Sunday 26th and Monday 27th July 2009) at the national rowing station on Lake Bagsværd, a 1,000m inrigger sprint race on Wednesday, 29 Jul 2009, and a 6km head race (Thursday 30th July 2009) through the habour right in the city centre. The Danish Rowing Federation (DFfR) will be sanctioning all events.

Regatta · 0 members going · 2 followingThe Stonewall Regatta Organizing Committee and the DC Strokes Rowing Club invite rowers to compete at the Stonewall XV Regatta. Stonewall is the only glbt-sponsored regatta in the United States. The event helps kick off the mid-Atlantic adult sprint racing season and serves to connect groups from different backgrounds and different geographic regions. Teams enter from private clubs, the armed forces, and other glbt crews (from cities like Boston, Chicago and Toronto). Last year’s regatta drew 350 rowers from 22 clubs to compete in 55 events. The course, set on the Anacostia River, starts just below the Pennsylvania Avenue (Sousa) Bridge and finishes downriver between the double I-295 bridges. * Launch/recover: Anacostia Community Boathouse * First race at 0900h. and last race at 1600h. * Course: 1,000 meter finals-only masters sprint race * Boat entries: 1x, 2x, 4x, 4+, and 8+ * Category entries for novice, masters, and open] * USRowing categories AA - J

The event was sanctioned and calendared by FISA and feature FISA certified judges. The event was run on the FISA World Masters template. The course was 1,000 meters, offered six fully buoyed lanes and all races were handheld starts. The event was organized by the Outgames Regatta Organising Committee with support from Rowing Canada, Aviron Québec, the Montreal Rowing Club (MRC), and Odawagan, the GLBT rowing crew of MRC. Competition was open to men and women, age 18 - 99. Race events were held for single sex boats and mixed boats. There were no adaptive entries. Boat rentals were available and featured race-competitive quality boats. The regatta had a total of 304 participants.Registration Closed -

Regatta · 0 members going · 0 followingThe regatta was hosted at Crystal Lake by the Crystal Lake Rowing Club. The 1,000 meter course began mid-lake and pointed downwind to a finish line near the main beach. The lanes were partially buoyed. Floating starts were used. Rowers had about 2 hours to practice before the start of the race. The race was a USRowing sanctioned regatta. A total of 8 USRowing judges were assigned to the regatta. One protest was filed. Events were listed for men, women, and mixed boats, in both masters and open categories. Many of the boats were composite entries with rowers coming from various rowing clubs. Loaner boats were provided from the Mendota Rowing Club, the Crystal Lake Rowing Club, the Chicago River Rowing and Paddling Club, and Purdue University. The boat manufacturers included Kaschper, Hudson, Derigo, Wintech, and Vespoli, and others. Some of the more energetic rowers raced all weekend, by participating in the Chicago Sprints on Saturday, 15 Jul 2006, and then racing at the Gay Games.Registration Closed -

Do you find yourself looking out the window every five minutes to see if the ice has melted? The Florida Rowing Center and GLRF are proud to announce a gay and lesbian spring sculling week. Come to Florida’s West Palm Beach and warm your soul while stretching for a clean catch on the pristine water of Lake Wellington. Enjoy three coached sessions per day and choose among three different programs: 7 day, 4 day, and 3 day. Daily sessions are scheduled for 7:30, 11:00, and 15:30, and last for 90 minutes. The coaching staff are elite-qualified instructors with experience in coaching all levels of rowers. The sculler to coach ratio is never more than 5 to 1. Videotape analysis is provided in all session programs. Each session program includes a daily breakfast, the use of boats, oars, three on the water sessions a day, and coaching.
