Why sex wins - apparently sex before sport has its benefits

Research shows that having sex 10-12 hours before competition does not have a negative effect on performance. Physiology tests showed strength of grip, muscle strength, balance, lateral movement, reaction time, aerobic power and cardio-respiratory fitness did not change if there had been sex the night before.

The Bermuda Rowing Association held their 2013 End of Summer Camp Regatta in the Hamilton Harbour this past weekend.

Competing in the Ladies Double Sculls, Bethany Yates and Eleanor Gardner defeated Anita Yates and Jennifer Wingate by 5 lengths, while Jacinto Brown got the better of Tyriq Brown in the Junior Single sculls by 4 lengths.

So, how do you go about getting recruited by college crew teams? First and foremost, do well in school! Continue to build your GPA. You can win medals in competitive regattas and improve your Erg scores, but keep hitting the books! For some, rowing can be a tie-breaker, but will not overcome a mediocre GPA or SAT scores. Beyond that, what are the mechanics of recruiting?

The Bermuda Rowing Association hosted a Rowing Regatta in the Hamilton Harbour this morning [July 24]. Rowers raced to the eastern end of the Harbour from Whites Island, maneuvered around two buoys, and raced back to the finish line just off of White Island. The races included males, females and juniors in both two-person and four-person teams. We will update with full results as able.
