The Maritime men's rowing team was back in action this past weekend on the Charles River in Boston. The Privateers had a pair of entries in the men's club fours and the men's collegiate fours at the 52nd Annual Head of the Charles Regatta.

Watch | HOCR Website | The three crew programs from Hubbard Hall will take to the Charles River this weekend for competition at the prestigious Head of the Charles River. The 52nd installment of the event that brings participants from across the world will see five Midshipmen boats race on the three-mile stretch of water in Boston. Junior varsity crews from the heavyweight and lightweight programs will begin the action for Navy on Saturday before three more crews take to the Charles River on Sunday.

Hobart Boston bound for Head of the Charles

The Hobart College rowing team will open its 2016-17 season on Sunday, Oct. 23, when it travels to Boston for the Head of the Charles Regatta. The Statesmen will compete in the Men's Collegiate Eight event at 3:15 p.m. on Sunday afternoon.

Tulsa's Marissa Catalanotto, Tim Rackers and Marc Scott were all named American Athletic Conference Scholar-Athlete Sport Excellence Award recipients, as voted on by The American Athletic Affairs Committee and announced today by Commissioner Mike Aresco.  Nominees are chosen based on athletic performance (40-percent), academic performance (40-percent) and community service (20-percent), and must be at least a junior academically.
