The No. 9 Navy lightweight rowing team brought the Callow Cup back to Hubbard Hall on Saturday as the varsity eight crew defeated the seventh-ranked Penn Quakers in the premier race of a four-event slate on the Schuylkill River. Overall on the day, the Mids won two of four races, that involved Penn, as well as No. 10 Delaware, who raced as a guest at the competition.

Strong winds caused a shift in the event schedule, but the weather did not prevent the opening session of racing from taking place on Friday at the Dale England Cup on Lake Lemon. The University of Notre Dame rowing team won three of its four heats to claim second place with 37 points, narrowly behind the 40 points of event leader Rhode Island. Host Indiana is in third place with 23 points, followed by Alabama with 20 points.
