The 2013 Outgames Rower's Beach Party

Date: Monday, 05 Aug 2013
Time: 19h00

Location: Bocadero
Bocadero - Waagnatie
Rijnkaai 150 - 2000 Antwerpen

Description: This is an indoor/outdoor overhang hangar structure with actual sand inside a fenced enclosure.  The rowers will have a reserved area underneath the overhang where we can mingle.  All are welcome.  There is no cover charge.  There are two no-host bars where everyone can purchase drinks and you can order Tapas for snacks at the rower's tables or out on the beach.

The hangar and the beach looks out on the river and if the weather is nice, it should be a beautiful evening to enjoy the sunset at 21h22.

Non-rowers are welcome as long as they demonstrate adequate admiration, extensive body worship, and uncontrolled "inappropriate touching" to ascertain the most powerful aspects of a rower's body.

The "Waagnatie" which is a huge exposition area is being used for several different events for the Outgames.  On Monday night, it will be the rower's turn to receive their admirers and share stories.  Straw hats, flip flops, low-hanging shorts worn in 'commando' style, and lots of smiles are encouraged!

We encourage everyone to "follow" this event and/or RSVP so we can let the bar owners know how many to anticipate.

----- Ghent Recreational Row (05 Aug 2013)

Passage Through Ghent

Date: Monday, 05 Aug 2013
Time: 09h30

Location: Finish tower at the WatersportBaan (regatta venue)

You can read the full description of the event as well as the list of frequently asked questions. This calendar event is for registration.  The cost is 30 Euros per person.  There are a total of (8) C4X+ boats available - that means wide body, sculled boats with four rowers and a coxswain.

Unlike a racing shell, the C4X+ is a recreational and touring boat and it is expected that the rowers will rotate every 15 minutes from seat to seat to coxswain to seat.  So we all row and we all take turns being the coxie.

To make this fair to everyone, GLRF is taking charge of the registration.  By using the calendar event feature here, you can see the capacity as well as who is attending.  If you RSVP, we will send you a PayPal request for payment. If you don't pay within five days, we will delete your name!

Hopefully all of your questions have been addressed but if not, you can leave a comment here and we will do our best to give you an answer.

One important note: you must be a GLRF member to RSVP! (it doesn't matter if you are a Shoreside or an OnTheWater member).  After you click the "I'm attending" button, your name will be added to the list. If you don't see your OnlineID, click the 'See All' button since OnlineID's are listed alphabetically.
