GLRF member glrfcentral was in Venice on 12 June 2011 to see the event and photographed the boats as they made their way through the canals to the starting line at St. Mark's Basin, and then wandered around, mostly lost, while awaiting the return of the flotilla.
The boats rowed through the Grand Canal to the finish/starting line at St. Mark's Basin.
